Hazchem Placards
Hazchem placards are essential for vehicles carrying dangerous goods. These placards display the UN number or indicate Mixed Load when multiple products from different classes are being transported.
Legal Requirements for Hazchem Placards:
- Empty Vehicles: Vehicles with no goods should not display any placard.
- Visibility: The placard must be clearly visible from the roadside, ensuring the 10mm black border remains visible.
- Placard Placement: You must place three placards on each vehicle (six for super-link trailers): one on each side and one at the back.
What Information to Include on Hazchem Placards:

Placard Material: Choose from ABS, Cromadek, Magnetic, or Vinyl depending on your vehicle’s requirements.
