TRANSPORT EMERGENCY CARDS

Transport emergency cards (Trec) are A4 documents that explain the hazards and emergency response procedures for hazardous chemicals. The Trec is intended for use by the driver of the vehicle in the case of an accident or spill until the emergency services reach the scene. Trec cards should have 2 red lines on the sides of the page and should be kept in the designated space (orange document holder) inside the vehicle. Trek Card (pty) Ltd produces Transport Emergency Cards in accordance with SANS 10232-4:2019 (Ed.1.04)

Required info for Trec cards:

  1. Company name
  2. Emergency Telephone numbers
  3. How many vehicles are transporting this product/s
  4. UN numbers of the products – found in section 14 of the SDS
  5. Packing group – found in section 14 of the SDS
  6. Trade name of the product (if any)
  7. Appearance of the product – found in section 9 of the SD

PAY AS YOU GO – SELF SERVICE

Follow these simple steps to order and print your Transport Emergency Cards online:

  1. Click on “Online Order”.
  2. If you’re new here, click “Register” and fill out the form.
  3. Enter your UN number (without “UN”).
  4. Select your product and click Next.
  5. Complete the custom data page.
  6. Preview the card; if everything looks good, approve it.
  7. Add to cart.
  8. An invoice will be automatically emailed to you.
  9. Make payment and forward your proof of payment to info@trec.co.za.
  10. Download the TREC Printer using the link from your invoice email.
  11. Print your order using the invoice number and key sent via email.
